Stag

After our epic climb to the peak of Stac Pollaidh for the Sunrise, we encountered this Stag on the way back down the mountain.

It was a stunning sunrise and certainly worth the long climb to the peak, and this was the 'cherry on top' for our adventure that morning! Unfortunately, I had 'weight reduced' my bag and taken my zoom lens out, so my friend and I were taking turns with his one. Luckily we have the same kit, so it was nice to be able to both get the shots we wanted.

We got as close as possible, I'd say about 10meters, before the Stag started to pay a little too much attention to us, so we backed away. I wish I had taken the time to setup my tripod for a more clear photo, but we were rushing for the moment as well as fighting off hundres of these horrible beetle-like flies that were biting us!
